A LITTLE SPARK FOR YOUR MIND

Arrow Solitaire:Crosswise

Match a pair.
Make the board light up.

Tap an arrow to find the first crosswise arrow of its colour. The pair disappears, clearing everything between them. A simple rule. A wonderfully tricky order.

Two arrows meet.
Everything between them leaves.

Tap an arrow It flies along its own axis. Where it stops is not up to you.
Two arrows cross It stops at the first perpendicular arrow of its own colour — both clear, and everything caught between them is swept up too.
Clear what the mode asks Smart asks for every arrow. Classic and Expert use coin thresholds instead: 1 coin is enough to pass, and a cleaner board pays more. Expert doubles its win.
Tools fit the mode Classic and Expert give three lives plus wallet-based Rotate and Recolor. Smart has no lives: Undo is free, the later boards bring their own Rotate charges, and Recolor there draws on the shared wallet — optional, since every board can be cleared without it. On Android, new attempts and restarts use energy after the introductory allowance; resuming a saved attempt is free.

The rule takes a minute; the order is the craft. When you want to go deeper, the arrow solitaire strategy guide covers reading the board, protecting key arrows, and the endgame.

Three modes, one rule

A little energy.
All the time you need.

No clock on the board Nothing counts down while you think, and no streak punishes a pause. A board waits exactly as long as you need it to.
A hint when you want one Ask for a hint when you need another look at the board. In Smart, free Undo also lets you rethink a move. On dense boards, Zoom in brings the arrows closer and Full board shows the whole picture again.
Glossy arrows. Candy-bright clears. Rounded arrows catch the light, shimmer with their own colour and spark when a pair connects. Two colour palettes keep the same bright, smooth feel. Change yours from Home or while you play.
Offline, no account Boards and progress stay on your device, with no game account or gameplay cloud. Android may restore local state through system backup, and Google Play restores a purchased No Ads entitlement.
A playful soundtrack Candy-bright shots, little rewards and a playful original score give each move a voice. Keep the effects and switch off the music, or mute everything: both controls are on Home.
Challenge a friend Cleared a board you liked? On Android, the result screen can send it on. Your friend opens the link and plays that exact board in their browser — no download, no account, just the one puzzle you sent.

Questions before the first tap

Can I play Arrow Solitaire online without downloading?Yes. The full game runs online in your browser at crosswisearrows.com/play — no download, no account, nothing to install. Your progress is kept on your device, and the Android version adds offline play.
Is Arrow Solitaire: Crosswise free?Yes. It is free on Google Play, supported by ads, and you can play it right here in the browser with no download.
Does the game work offline?Yes. The Smart, Classic, and Expert level packs ship inside the app, and generated Classic boards after level 200 are built on your device — no connection needed.
How do you play?Tap an arrow — it flies along its line to the first perpendicular arrow of its colour. The two cross, both leave the board, and everything between them is swept away too. The shared rule is simple; each mode sets its own completion and reward conditions.
Can a board turn out to be unsolvable? No. A full solution always exists. Running out of moves means the order was wrong — not the board.
What are the three game modes?Smart is 130 compact order puzzles that require a complete clear. Classic is a 200-level campaign followed by generated boards. Expert is twelve large snowflake boards, unlocked after Classic level 10, with double coin rewards.
How do boosters work in each mode?Classic and Expert share wallet charges: Rotate changes an arrow's axis and Recolor changes its colour. Smart has no lives; later Smart boards provide their own Rotate charges, and Recolor there draws on the shared wallet — optional, since every board can be cleared without it. Undo is free and takes a Recolor back too: the colour returns, the charge stays spent. On Android, a fresh attempt or restart uses energy after the introductory allowance; resuming a saved attempt is free.
Can I send a level to a friend?Yes. In the Android app, the result screen after a cleared board offers Challenge a friend: it makes a link to that exact board, and whoever opens it plays that single puzzle in the browser — no download and no account. A challenge page holds one board and nothing else, so once it is cleared the way on is the app.
